Default J1 vs Y2 cable tranny for my NA B20VTEC

I'm having problems with my 1. and 2. gear synchro's in my Y2 cable tranny so I thought about replacing it with a tighter geared J1 tranny. A have a Quaife LSD in the Y2 right now. Can someone confirm if it will bolt right in the J1 case with the Y2 speedo gear? I love the Y2 5. gear so I thought about switching that over to the J1 tranny. That should no be a problem right?

The gearing is:
J1:
3.250
2.052
1.416
1.103
0.906
4.40 FD

Y2:
3.2300
2.1050
1.4580
1.1070
0.8750
4.2660 FD

So will it be worth switching the Y2 with the J1 for drag racing or should I just fix the old tranny? The engine is a 220 whp NA B20VTEC.

The Y2 is from my CRX EE8. It's a euro CRX SiR from 90-91.

Rebuild Y2 with 4.4 FD

Or are you interested in S80 tranny? I have to make a decision using Y2 or s80 in my EE8

Is the S80 not a hydro tranny and which model is it from?
I have already found a low mile J1. Btw. it would have been cool to switch over the 4.40 final drive but I'm not sure it fits. See in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=538596 It says the Y1 ring gears are not swappable.

Yes it is from European ITR, but getting it in is A LOT of work so I'm trading it against Y2 with ITR LSD .. I think?

Question is: is the Y2 gearing favorable with the B18c6 engine? A friend of mine had the B18c6 with the sotck Y2 and wasn't too happy with the combination. The S80 has shorter gearing making it a faster sprinter, also considering the smaller wheel diameter of the EE8. I can always use the Y2 for now and wait untill Hasport comes with the mount kit for our car
