cluster not lighting up

Default cluster not lighting up

i thought that my old cluster was messed up but i just got another one and it's not lighting up.... any ideas? this sucks because i can't see how fast i'm going and can't see my rpm

uuuhhh do the obvious and check your fuses.

do you still have the dimmer switch hooked up. i believe theres a switch on both the left and the right. if those are unplugged the gauges wont light up. i know that was my problem at least. i had fully removed the interior and just removed the whole dash assembly with the dimmer switch and whatever that other switch was so i ripped it back out of the dash and hooked it up and all was good again. if that doesn't work then look through the wiring and make sure everything is okay.

definitely check that dimmer switch. i had one go bad and the cluster would work fine, just not light up.

did you do any kind of swap?...when was the last time the cluster worked?..check the wires and grounds

okay I had my dimmer go out here is a way to check

take a paper clip and stick it in the pins

u should see it light up to the brightest setting

and if that don't work check ur power to the lights in the dash

first do the easy things and then move on to the more stressful things

u know where the dimmer swqitch is at unplug it and stick the clip in there and u should see light or not

if u don't woh something ain't rockin' in that harness or fuse box of ur's

there are three light bulbs inside the cluster on top and also numerous other lights. also make sure the wiring harness contact points are clean
