Default Going Rate for EG paint job?

Anyone have ball park figures for full paint job's for an EG hatch? I've gotten prices from 850-3000, what is reasonable and what is a rip off?

With paint you get what you paid for. If you do all the prep work and mask it and tow it in just for paint it will be alot cheaper then having the shop do all that, you know.

Then it also depends on where you go.

Theres a place around here called Earl Shi or something along those lines and if you mask everything and prep it yourself its only 300 bucks for the spray.

If you want a shop to do it all your looking at a grand easy. I think a grand is normal price for most places.

Thanks for everyone's input the hatch is currently Captiva Blue, looking to paint it either Championship white, or don't laugh UPS brown. I was figuring right around 1600-2000 for the color change a half dollar side rust spot on rear quarter and hatch and door jambs.

Paint that **** UPS. brown. Instead of putting UPS on it you can put POS, Everybody will think you are slow then you can show them up.

I paid about $800 for a full strip down to bare metal, 3 coats of base coat and 4 clear coats. All dings were pulled/filled. The car looks like new again. I love it. Oh I also had my rims done. That's included in that price.

uh no, ups brown is a hot color. Have you seen the 4 door eg with that paint and mugen rnrS? find it check it and then tell me that it isnt a hot jdm color
why not stay with captiva blue?
oh yea and paint jobs can go anywhere from 250-4000 for full jobs
you would be looking between the 1-2000 range , and that can tell you that their work is good, ask for previous pics/ car that they have done
peace

You really get what you pay for. If you want it to look good going down the road your talking atleast $1000. If you want it to look good up close, and in person your talking $2000+. Color change adds more if you want all the jams, and underhood to match. If your not going to paint under the hood the same color I'd suggest staying with the factory color. Otherwise your car will drop in value even more, not to mention it'll look funny.

Well that is your opinion the only thing I like about the UPS brown is seeing it in front of my house delivering my parts. You sound like my girlfriend she is the only person I know that says things are hot.
