Need thoughts
Im just wrecked my eg with a jdm b16. Now im thinking of a EF hatch with a 1st gen b16 How strong are these motors. just let me know what yall know about them. Also what other motors are a easy swap and reliable.

since he had an eg he probably had a newer generation b16 which was obd1 and in better condition than most older generation b16's.
anyways, try to find a reputable dealer such as hmotorsonline.com who don't usually just send off bad motors (im sure there have been a few) or just get yourself an obd1 b16a which should be a little newer and hopefully not so abused. it will end up costing you a little more money in the beginning, but most want to go obd1 anyways. just some food for thought.

For the sake of everybody getting off my nuts:
1. B16s are not a direct swap for an EF.
2. OBD0 B16As are by far the cheapest.

Yes they are a direct swap, they BOLT IN, everything BOLTS IN, thats a DIRECT SWAP.
Something that isnt a direct swap yet would he a K20 or a H22.

smaxnz you sir are a *****, I had a obd1 b16 which have a lil bit more power and are newer,plus they have a hydro tranny which a obd0 b16 doesnt. thanks everyone else. Im just trying to find how strong most of urs are being there a lil older.
