This is my USED ITA CRX.
Here's the ad:
ITA Honda CRX si 1989
Welded in bolted cage, Nascar bars 4.7 final drive, quaife, Kirkey Seat, 1 set panasports with good Hoosiers, coil overs, tokicos, new Distributor, DC sports header, Borla exhaust, Ram Air Kit, Bright yellow. Car has more done to it than I know, I took it on trade.
asking $6500.00 obo for quick sale
I bought it for 6K, but spent the extra dough to have the car shipped since I'm still in need of a tow rig. It's a little more then I wanted to spend, but it's almost exactly what I wanted.
Here's a link to some photos I snapped: (sorry it never seems to work when I try and post photos here)

I have to figure out which OMP seat this is... I didn't see any stickers or any type of info on the seat whatsoever. This has me guessing I need to either have OMP send me appropriate documentation for the seat or I'm SOL and have to get a new one... might make an excellent occasional passenger seat for track days?
Originally I was figuring on building the car for sale in my signature, but then I saw this car and knew it would be a great first car... it's already got road rash.
Besides there'd be no way I'd be able to build a car that has all these goodies for the amount of cash I spent on this.
The car has a log book dating back to 1998 from this place: http://www.waterfordhills.com/
Apparently they follow SCCA guidelines pretty closely. Since I'm completely green on the process of tech, would this log book help me in having the car teched with the SCCA or NASA?
Thanks to all those on this forum whose threads I've read about buying vs. building. Much appreciated.
...Had to share my excitement.

You should make cross-stitch wall hangings or inspirational posters with these words on them. You could trade them for half-finished racing projects.
Have fun with the new project!

Not really. The tech inspectors for NASA and SCCA will still go through their process. But, hang onto the log-book - documentation is good.
From what you've listed, there are a few things you may need to double-check before you try to have the car teched...
1. "Ram Air" - is illegal in SCCA IT. You'll have to check the GCR for specific wording, as I don't remember it off the top of my head.
2. Roll cage - make sure it is DOM and not ERW tubing.
3. Seat - is it a Kirkey or OPM? The ad says Kirkey, but you say OPM. Anyways, FIA seats need to be mounted differently and replaced regularly. Aluminum seats need a back brace. Again, check the GCR for specifics.
4. Harness - check the dates punched on the tags. Must be replaced regularly.

I just hate to be the Grinch about a new toy. I might not actually be as negative as some people think...

I double checked what the ad refers to as "ram-air" and what we have hear is a cold air intake system. I checked the GCR and yep this is illegal. It basically states the intake needs to remain within the engine compartment. Luckily I can switch out the intake in the car for sale with this cold-air jobber. Mutual bueno.
How can I check the cage?
The seat is an OPM unit... originally the car had the Kirkey seat.
I checked the belts and the date stamped was 99... so I already have a set of belts on order.
The only other concern at the moment is the location of the cut-off switch. It's mounted just inside the driver's side door, between the opening of the window net and the door upright and mounted (on a bracket) on the main upright of the roll bar. It's accessible, but from what I can gather in the GCR, this might not be the best place for it.
The last thing I want is to get to my first race and not be able to participate because I overlooked something. So, I certainly don't mind the critisms... it keeps me on my toes.
