Default Oil...or lack thereof.

Hey guys,

Recently I did a D16Z6 swap into my car. Did a complete oil change etc etc.

Anyways, over the course of 4 weeks.. i have lost 2L..yes **2L*** of oil. I was using Castrol GTX 5W30 (dino..not synth).

So the first thing I did was check for leaks, my engine is spotless and not a hint of any oil leakage anywhere. Checked the ONLY 2 spots i park in during the day/night..NO signs of oil. I even put a large piece of clean cardboard under my car and let it sit for a few days...no leaks.

So since im not leaking, i must be BURNING oil right? There are also NO signs of burning. NO smoke anywhere, no wierd smells, no traces in exhaust system or anything. Everything is top notch.

I checked my rad(fearing its getting into the coolant), did a flush and it was clean as hell. No problems there.

Comp test shows ~180 across the board.
Leakdown test shows 3-4% across the board.

So I ask everyone, where is my oil going? And what can I do to prevent this?

you must be burning it off man. my beater does that. it doesnt leak, but it damn sure burns it. mine is so bad tho that u can smell it and see it out the back window if i smash the gas hard. i knew the valve seals were bad when i bought it tho so no biggie. i just stay on top of it and refill when necessary.

Pulled my plugs out today. Everything seems to be fine. The motor is running just a bit rich but Im not worried about that.

The thing is. I've had a P06 (non-VTEC ecu) in my car for the past 3 weeks of me having my swap. Only the past week have i had a new P28 in my car. Meaning that i've only been able to play with VTEC for ab out a week. Theres no way im burning 2L of oil PER WEEK with VTEC.

Any other answers anyone?
