Default f22b1 or f22a6?

Hey guys did some searching for a egine for my 91 accord lx..Found a f22a6 with 75k and a f22b1 with 110k on it..$300 for either engine. which is the better deal? The f22b1 is vtec isn't it. Does That make the swap any harder or is it pretty much the same?..Or should I steer clear from them both..Warranty is 3 months on them...
Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks,
---Dan---

persoanly, id go w/ the A6 (140ish hp right, just a bit below the B1).....the B1 is SOHC Vtec, so its not like its all that great anyways.....ud have to do a LITTLE bit of extra work for the B1, but its really up to you....if both engines have been maintained well, they are both still young in terms of honda, and will both last your forever.....

you could also drop in a JDM H22A or USDM H22A1

Drop in the F22A6.

Or save up for an H22 or H23.

why the A6?

for boost?

personally i'd drop in the B1... especially if you have P28 to run it ...

it's a sweet little mod with the right maps... thanks to a friend of mine, my 91 LX with headswap could move for a bone stock accord

b1, just my opinion. if you want to do the extra work for the measly 5hp then thats the way id go. and you can even have a wimpy vtec you wont hardly notice engaging.

personal preferance is the b1 i have seen the swap done and it is quite simple to make the vtec work all u have to do is hook the vtec wires to a shift light and when the light goes on the vtec kicks in. plus with an adjustable shift light who needs an Apex'i vtec controller this instal in more work but just as simple
