Default 01 ITR Ecu with Original Coded key.....will it work in my civic??

Can anyone tell me If I can use my 01 ITR ecu with the original coded key in my civic with a b18c1 swap? If I have the civic ignition lock changed to work with my ITR key then will this work?? Will the car start and run?

thanks.

I'm not sure...the ecu has to see it.

However, you could always pick up on the DEI units that bypasses that for things such as remote start w/cars that have immobilizers. Or, if you can make it work...use your old ignition lock for the immobilizer line and have it hidden under the dash, and the civic lock start the car. Then, for ultimate security, remove the Integra key from the hidden lock.

It's just some brainstorming of mine...it might not at all. I'd investigate it further in the Helms and such.

Yes I think so, might have to use all the OEM wiring harness too though.
Jack (P1 Auto) did it years ago.

IM him with questions. B18CXr

you need to grab the whole imobilizer system.
steering colum(they are different), ignition switch, imobilizer antena(goes around the switch),ecu. you also have to add the wiring harness to you civic, and you have to re-pin some of the plugs.
compare the two electrical diagram.

btw what year civic?
