Ok, I am about to purchase a Helms manual for my car, but I need your advice. I did a search but could find any information on whether or not the supplement they offer is worth the $36. Can anyone tell me what the supplement talks about, and whether or not I truly need it. I have a feeling that all I will really need is just the main manual and maybe the electrical troubleshooting manual. Has anyone ever bought the electrical troubleshooting manual? Thanks for everyones help.

 

I bought the electrical one, and returned it.
One nice feature is that it has actual pictures of the components, but the main manual really lays it out so nice that you shouldn't need it. And if you really cant find a component, someone on the board can always help.
As far as the supplement, I have that too. Well, it's the changes that have occured between the '96 manual and say the '00 R. I have actually never used it. I can't think of any major things that have changed....someone else here probably can, but I think you'd be all set if you just bought the main manual '96-'98...it has everything!

Where can I get the main manual for a '00 ITR, and would it have the complete schematics for the ECU wiring? Please help!! Thanks!

I bought the ITR supplement, if not just for the peace of mind I have everything I need. There is actually a possible discrepency on compression specs between the main and supplemement.

 

well, it does depend on the year ITR you have...97 there's a supplement, 98 they added the supplement into the 98 model year manual, and the 00-01 ITR's also have a supplement....

 

Does it contain the ECU wiring schematics?? I'm asking so that I can make an OBDI/II harness. -Thanks!

main manual is all you need...

as far as it being in spanish...don't think so...they are the producer of the manual for the US only (other non US board members have obtained service manual and it was not made by helms), and last I checked, English was the official language of the US...except when I go down to Miami hehehehe
