Default Simple LS/Vtec

I'm thinking about building a simple ls/vtec setup with spare parts I have.

I have
LS block
LS Crank
Ported GSR Head
ITR Cams
B16 pistons
gsr and b16 trannys
hondata
Does anyone have a setup close to this? I'm looking for something fun to drive and good gas milage. But it has to be fast enough to keep me from driving my turbo hatch on the street to much. I also have a set of 84.5mm 12:5:1 CP's that I could use in a B20. I'm also thinking about a ls/vtec with small turbo but thats how my other car started and I will also be turning the boost up.

After looking at some dyno charts on the web I'll probably go with a b20 with the CP's. Are the B20 cylinder walls really as weak as I'm seeing? If I do go all motor it will probably end up with some nitrous on it sometime in its life.

the lsvtec w/ b16 pistons and itr cams should deffinatly be a 13 sec motor (in a hatchback) and with the hondata you can tune the partial throttle to get pretty good gas mialage.... i would do it.....i'm doing the same thing

i say do the ls/vtec with the b16a pistons. You should be able to push 200whp with a good header, good enough for low 13's/high 12's...If you go b20/vtec i would keep the compression under 12:1.

Does anyone have a link to any dyno graphs of ls/vtec with b16 pistons and small cams? I would like to run the b20 for the extra tq but I already have everything for the ls. Would the b20 make about 10ft/lbs more at the same hp level?

give me like two weeks, my ls/vtec is going in for a slight rebuild. pr3s going into an LS bottom end with arp rod bolts, and a gsr head on top. the only diff would be the skunk 2 stage 2s.
