Comptech Intake?
hey, i was lookin at the comptech icebox or w/e on the SEMA.net site and conceptually it looks like it could work....but yet kinda looks like it would restrict flow...i dunno i was wonderin if u guys had ever tryed one or kno anyone or has one?
See that thing on the top right of the screen? The search button? It will tell you all you ever need to know about the comptech icebox, and that it is in fact one of the better intakes on the market...

I use one currently, and it works great. Curious, what makes you think it would restrict flow?

i dunno it was talkin about how it would limit water intake n stuff, so i figured it would have like mad filters or somin, plus its sahpe an giant box are not convetially wat u see

I believe it uses a cone filter element that flows well. The box is just for shielding heat and there is a pipe that routes cooler air into the box. The reason you think of boxes being restrictive is because the stock box is, and that's only because of a crap filter and an enormous resinator. I saw something around here awhile ago about a DIY ice box made from the stock box and PVC pipe. Looked identical to the Comptech piece. Anyway, I'm rambling.
