Moroso Vs. Stock Oil Pan
stock oil pan is not baffled, and moroso hold more oil. only good if your car is pulling lots of lateral g's in cornering (autocross,road course racing) and risk oil starvation, otherwise you dont need baffled pans.
it would be heavier, my guess if your a drag racer so stick to stock. other wise if you wanted it for its intended purpose ( baffeling) add a baffel to your pan

Wrong. The Moroso is not intended for autocross/roadracing. It is designed for drag racing. A guy over in the Road racing forum had a Moroso, and through long sweepers, his oil pressure gauge would drop to zero. He switch to either spoon, Mugen or J's and had no problem after that.

neither IMO. The Mugen is just an OEM oil pan with a baffel welded in there from mugen. There are how-to's to DIY with your OEM oil pan.

I have only seen one spoon one and it was the race version. Had cooling baffles on it too. VERY bad ***, but very expensive.

i remeber reading in the Z10 page about baffeled oil pans, that the stock pan is extremly hard to weld to, something about the metal composision, and the way the pan is formed, i stoped fallow the thread, but it was an ongoing debate, never found the out come

EXACTLY! I had one of the Moroso pans on my b20vtec at, and even in parking lots at 5-8mph trying to break in my Kazz, my oil pressure guage went to zero. I now have a Mugen pan and all is well.

not meant for road racing meaning that it won't effectively keep oil at the pickup during cornering.
The best thing to do is sent your pan to Doctor Cortez (do a member search). He'll mod your stock pan for a good price and he does good work.
