Default Wedge engineering brackets and sliders

Im planning to get some brackets from wedge engineering for my recaros. They also sell sliders that are single locking for $40 a seat. Has anyone had any experience with the slider that they provide. Should I get these sliders, keep in mind that they are single locking.

I unfortunately know nothing about their sliders.

I used the Sparco sliders with a modified Wedge base bracket which worked fine for me.

Good luck

I bought a set of wedge brackets and they actually utilized the stock sliders. The bracket doesn't have any moving parts.

I had a Wedge bracket and slider on my old Sparco. Hated it. Raised the seating position over an inch higher than stock.

I sold the whole assembly rather than try to find a better solution.

That's up to you.

Even my setup raised the seat as well.

But, the wedge base brackest are alot sturdier than the sparco paperweights.

I have the double locking rails from Recaro along with the wedge brackets and I like them a lot. no seat movement at all.

Have you tried asking wedge what the differences are between the single and double locking rails?

I believe the double locking rails lock the slider on both rails, the single only locks on one of the two rails. I also have the double locking rails and am happy with them for the most part. The seat could sit a little lower, but oh well.

Single locking rails let the seat shift under hard braking. Wedge brackets also put the seat too far to the left making uncentered with the steering wheel. At least get double locking sliders. I think Vision bracket/sliders are much better, lower than stock height and centered with the wheel. Hard to find though.

Where could I get recaro double locking sliders from for a good price? How much did you guys pay for your recaro sliders? So I shouldn't get the single locking huh? Does anyone know where I could get vision brackets and sliders, Ive been looking for a while now. Have had the seats for a year now just sitting there and am waiting to mount them. Help me out, any opinions needed.

Double-locking sliders for me as well. Very sturdy - the Wedge bracket is an extremely solid piece.

But it sits too high

Aggravated me so much that I put the stock seat back in within two months. The only good part is that I got such a great deal on the seat that I was able to turn it with minimal loss of capital.

I bought my rails from peparts.com

they had to order them from Recaro which took a couple of weeks.

How much did they charge you and how does the height compare to stock height. The thing is that I want to sit hella low, lower than stock. I want to be sitting low as I would be in my 01' lude.

don't know how low your 01 lude sits and I don't know how low hella low is.

But I can tell you with recaro rails and wedge brackets, the JDM recaros sat lower than the OEM seats I just put back into my R. True, it may not be as low as vision rails, but try finding some. Also, the comment of the wedge bracket offsetting the seat to the left is valid. It did feel a bit off center, but nothing you can't get used to or is annoying.

I don't know what problem Pat had with his setup, but mine definately sat lower than the stock seats.

The wedge/ recaro combo is both height and seat angle adjustable.

as for price, contact peparts directly as this was a few years ago that I bought my stuff from them.
