Default What is a good Pager alarm?

I need a pager alarm that works well but is on the inexpensive side, I can install it myself. Just looking for some recommendations. My car was stolen and recovered. Im paying for the damage done so i dont have much money left for the alarm. Let me know... i need one soon. Thanks.

Code Alarm TW-1 are really good alarms.
Polar Starts are good as well. I have one for sale if your car is a manual.

viper 790, 690, and clifford matrix RS3. the only things that suck about these alarms are the key pads are spendy if you break one 99.99 i believe.

I've got a viper that I like a lot. I bought it a while back, but it's upgradeable so I've really put together a nice security package. I'd be willing to bet that anything DEI is going to be a good bet.

clifford matrix 2.5 Its essentially the same as the 3.5, but without the remote start. Im using it and it rocks!

so far ive tested it up to 2.5 blocks with buildings in the way, while standing outside. As for line of sight..its worked up to 5 blocks. Reception is all a matter of where you place the ant. I have mine low in middle of the windshield. It looks a bit weird but the reception is great. And yes, if any part of your alarm is triggered, even the warn away zones, it shows up on your pager/remote. Ive had a cat walk on my windshield and it set off the warn away on my proxy zone and i got a couple of chirps ..ran outside and saw the cat jump off my roof..too bad i left my bb gun inside. hehe

But isn't Compustar spendy?

Anyone seen the Prestige brand one, the remotes resemble the Clifford RS remotes....
