Default Just picked up a new accord last night (4G.)

My second accord. My first was an '89 SE-i a few years ago. I've always loved accords and I need a reliable comfortable car for when the CRX is being worked on and stored for the winter.

'91 LX 2 door 5 speed
Champagne color w/ red interior
Alarm w/keyless entry
201K miles
throws a code for TDC sensor and sputters after its warmed up.
Body is pretty straight, a little rust and a few dents on the hood.
Needs new muffler.

$200

I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Do you guys have any insight on the sputtering? It runs mint until its warmed up and then it'll sputter and check engine light will come on.

*EDIT* Im a retard and cant post pics from imagestation for some reason

Distributors are very common to fail. The TDC code you got is probly from a faulty TDC sensor in the distributor and in turn causing the poor driveablity issues. Get yer dizzy fixed. Pls email if you have any q's

Is the TDC sensor hard to replace or should I just replace the whole Distributor?

I think you'd be better off replacing the complete unit in the long run. There is also problems with the bearings in the distributor which can fail and possibly lock up the camshaft and in turn make the t-belt snap. Don't buy a cheap one cuz that's exactly what you'll get!

Check the plugs and wires. Sometimes the valve cover tube seals will allow oil to leak down inside the tubes and cause a secondary ignition miss-fire. if there is any oil, get it outta there and replace the valve cover lip seal, tube seals and the grommets that are on the attachmant bolts.
