Default Starting issue - please read

This is the second day in a row! It's only happened first thing in the morning. I turn the key to start the Civ. The engine cranks about 5 times then sounds like it's started. As soon as I release the key to go to the ON position it dies. I turn the key again. The engine cranks once and starts just fine. It never feels like it wants to stall or anything.

What I've done since I got the car in November (in order):

SplitFire "V" spark plugs
OEM wires
Led battery connectors
Reground

Within the last 2 weeks:

Fuel Filter
A/C removal
Oil and Filter (last Friday)
GM Syncromesh FM (last Friday)

I auto crossed for the first time on Sunday. This didn't start happening until yesterday, although it started pretty hard on Monday. Can anybody give me any insight whatsoever. Thanks H-T |<R3\/\/!

No codes. What the hell is a VOM? Voltage Meter? I'm pretty sure the distributor is fine. The engine runs fine anyway.

Sounds like a problem with the ignition switch. Try to hold to the key just past the run position towards the start position after the engine starts. If the engine stays runnin' you got a problem with the switch contacts. pls email if you have ?'s

It is the switch. Is there any way to fix it without buying a new one or any way to use the same key cylider?
