ITR Sway bar install but now i hear rattling noise.....
Had the ITR rear sway bar installed today along with camber kit and tie rod ends and now i have this rattling noise. Looks like the sway bar is touching the exhuast. Anybody ever have this problem? What'd you do to fix?
everyone is pretty sure until they check...and then they do and..whoops its upside down, i've seen this happen like 20 times
lol, if this is true then i'm going to go to the shop and laugh at them
they didnt know how to install the dam thing in the first place i had to print them out the bsq install manual
I guess theirs a first time for everything.
I would have installed it my self but it was allready on the lift their and what the hell. I live in aparments and have no garage (really sucks i used to live in houses and this takes some getting used to) and well i hate working on my car in the parking lot. I'll check it out when i walk my Ex-GF out to her car.

I am looking to install an ITR rear sway bar, but I am not sure where to begin. Right now my suspension on my car is completely stock except for front and rear upper ITR strut bars. Will I need better shocks if I install an ITR rear sway bar? Will I need to adjust my camber? Any help would be greatly appreciated before I jump into this project. Thanks.

I installed the ITR Swaybar with my stock suspension and felt virtually no body-roll after. A Very inexpensive upgrade (14mm-->22mm) that makes a dramatic difference. You'll be fine with the stock shocks. I didn't upgrade my spring/shocks until 3-4 months after my swaybar. The car will definitely be more neutral, rather than understeering. Ask anyone here, the best bang-for-your-buck mod!! If you have any questions with the installation e-mail me or IM me anytime. Good Luck!

You will also need a Adapter kit to make it work. I got the BSQ one. just run a search on here for BSQ and you'll find the site.
As for install, i'm not sure also. I had a bunch of work done all at once.

How hard of an install was it. Is it a basic take off and bolt on procedure?
basically take off the bolts, drill 2 holes
and then bolt all the new stuff up

1.) Remove stock rear swaybar
2.) Remove 2 tack-welded flange nuts
3.) Slightly enlarge 2 existing holes
4.) Install NEW TYPE-R REAR SWAYBAR

So, where can I find a new rear Type-R sway bar? Any recommendations? How much should I expect to pay?
1.) 52300-ST7-Z01 rear swaybar ($58.30)
2.) 52315-ST7-Z01 swaybar bushing ($4.40) (2 needed)
3.) 52308-SS0-000 bushing bracket ($5.95) (2 needed)
4.) 52316-ST7-Z00 endlink bushing ($1.75) (2 needed)
5.) 52312-ST7-Z00 endlink bushing collar ($4.90) (4 needed) – this part can be reused from the stock swaybar
6.) 90175-ST7-Z00 bolt (8x35) ($2.45) (2 needed)
7.) 94050-08080 flange nut (8mm) ($0.50) (2 needed)
Note: all prices are from A&H Motorsports ( http://www.ahmotor.com ) (prices current as of 7/1/2001). Dealer prices tend to be somewhat higher than A&H, but it doesn't hurt to check prices.
I am getting the Comptech swaybar/tiebar set. A swaybar is about 150 plus either of the tear out kits for $60 puts you around $200. A Comptech tie bar is just about $200 so I figured I would get everyting at once and not have to worry about rip out. If you want to save some money look for a junkyard sway bar. or order one from a dealer. Progress group was also recomended to me by some serious racers.
$108 for the swaybar and misc. required parts + $20 for BSQ kit equates to $128 (plus shipping from A&H). Not a bad deal IMO...just get everything from A&H and Bret and you should receive substantial savings.
Of course, if you want to go that extra mile and get a tie bar, the Comptech is not a bad choice for the money if it's $200.

kinda off the topic but if you get the itr rear sway bar will you experience any understeer/oversteer? shouldn't you get the itr front sway bar too?
