i saw a guy with about 7 bullet tweeters in his sub box

thing is it sounded great!

i hate tweters and dont use them but im thinking of 2 facing rear like the subs just under the ports, any comments on this will be appreciated

subs are going to be faced back

 

higher frequencies like tweeters are directional, as in its important for them to be directed at you
BUT you should have tweeters in front of you for imaging
you can have tweeters i guess for the sound of rear fill sort of...
when you're at a concert, do you hear the cymbals crashign in front or behind you ?

I suppose that would be cool, if there was two boxes... and they were mounted in the kick panels.

 

thats mostly for show, as said before, tweeters are most important when they are used directionally. Its used for show for when the person pops the trunk and blasts the music, the audience wont just hear booom ba ba ba ba booooommm coming out the trunk, but the whole sound range...Good idea for show, not for cruising... IMO

 

IMO it's a bad idea. conflicting sound waves = distortion. you don't want it to sound like you have a parade in your trunk.

 

It may be usefull for a tailgate party. But I would do this setup in a car.
