I was wondering what size tires you guys have on your Si wheels? I just got some with 185/65-15 tires on them right now, and I think it's rubbing... can't I put like 205/50-15 or 205/55-15 on it or something? It'd be a shorter overall diameter and not rub right? Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

 

i don't have si wheels but yes u can put a 205/50/15 on them without rubbing depending on the amount of drop u have.

wouldn't you know for sure if it was. Look at your fender for rubber marks.

and you should know FOR SURE before getting new tires

 

I got them with firestones on them so i really don't care if they're brand new with the sticker still on them, i'm gettin rid of them very fast....

 

I have the same wheels and tires. I was thinking about installing 195/50/15 later. I've seen 205/50/15. They fit but the sidewalls will stick out a bit.

not difficult at all. that's the stock tire size. i had 205/50's and they were fine. no rubbing, 2 inch drop.

i worked at a tire shop for 2 years. theres nothing wrong with it, thats why everyone does it. you deserve that hammer.

 

Thats going to be mushy as hell, sidewall is going to curve like no tomorrow. 205 belongs on a 7 inch wide wheel.

haha an e-thug arguing with a 2year tire installer and guy who worked at a 20 year old tire shop.

205/50's worl perfectly fine, as im sure most people know because they run them fine.

 

o, i forgot to mention i've worked for Goodyear for the past 2 years.

 

see 4 years experience right there, how can you argue. now FJ are you allowed to buyother company's tires..lol
