Make the dude with the big truck pay for it and you wont have to spend any money just be without a car for a week or borrow someones hood until the body shop finishes your hood

I don't know who it was. All I know is that a truck with a higher ride height can do that damage to my hood.

Were you in the car at the time? Because if you were not in the vehicle and it was parked then your insurance company should cover it, even if you have PLPD.

Explain in more detail? And wouldn't this raise my rates?

i had a similiar one on my car. i got stuck in someones driveway (when my car was 'dunkd') and he pushed me out, putting a dent in the hood.

anyway i drilled a hole in the underside skeleton of the hood and put a rod through it and pushed out the dent... it came out for the most part but u can still tell something happened there...

i would just make the tool that hit you buy you a new cf hood for 400$

well here in Canada, if its something that you couldnt have stopped or was a hit + run (in this case) my insurance would cover it as "comprehensive" (like theft) so my rates wouldnt go up... and you get a free new hood so to say.

but if you were in the car, and caused the accident you would have to pay your deductable and then your rates would go up...(espeically for me...18 year old w/ a Honda :S)

if i was you, call your insurance and tell them whats up and see what they say...but ASK if your rates will go up because of it...if they say yes..tell em f*ck off.

good luck

You can get it pushed out by a shop that knows what theyre doing and youll never see it....dont let any body shop drill and pull it.....thats what most paint places will want to do and say its impossible to fix without drilling.. dont pay more than $150, it can be fixed within an hour and a half at the most</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks for the input. Like I said I do have $100 to spare. Does paintless dent removal do it for cheap? I have some more dents I would like to get out of the hood.

Why not just post a want add for a hood? I'm sure there are plenet of ppl here who have removed thiers for CF and have them lying around. Might even be able to pick one up for free just for getting it out of someones way.
