2000 Stock b16 cam adjust
I am a mechanic here in Lancaster, Pa. The shop's tire dawg has a friend with a relativley stock b16, no engine work, just a cold air and dc header. This friend wants to put adjustable cam gears in and does not really know why, just knows they're cool. It would be cool if work was done to engine, but that is not the case. I am sure with all of the experience that you all out there have with these engines you could offer some advice for settings to the intake and exhaust cam adjustments. Any response would be appreciated! By the way, we do not have a dyno, otherwise I would experiment. Thanks!
Don't bother installing them untill you get to a dyno. Every car and every gear is a little different.
If you are looking to just experiment and don't care about power untill you get to a dyno I believe most people advance the intake 1-2 degrees and retard the exhaust 2-4 degrees.
