Default Non-Honda: Big Brakes Anyone?

i picked up evo2 brakes for my colt gt today. up to this point i've been reluctant to track/auto-x my car because of the brake/hub design on the colt. basically...everytime the rotor is removed the spindle itself must be taken apart...

well today i solved the problem by picking up evo2 brakes which will stop the car much better and make it easier to switch rotors when i attend track events.

for more info on the colt gt...click here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=743708

here are some pics...

a pic of the stock brakes...they're actually the same size as GSR front brakes...but the hub design makes them worthless.

old brakes...vs new brakes...i need to have some brake lines made...and then they're getting installed.

Yes I second that emotion Evo brakes are way better than gross boobies but I have to admit not quite as funny !!!!

question.

Have you found an importer for new rotor's? or have you found a US spec rotor that is the exact same spec as that EVO 2 rotor.

(i had the same problem locating 96 ITR replacement rotors. so i just upgraded to the 11.1" prelude vtec setup)

just curious as to what your going to do.

i know two guys who regularly import evo parts for themselves and people like me.

the guy i purchased the brakes from has another set of evo brakes which are still on his evo1...although he's going to a 5lug setup and said i can acquire the rotors off of that car.

plus, the rotors i have are in excellent shape and have plenty of thickness left so its not like i'm pressed to find a new set...plus i think galant vr4 rotors are the same size although i'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to dsm's so i have to confirm this.
