Default gsr rear sway bar

would it be worth it to buy the thing. theres one in the wrecking yard and all the suspension has been untouched. except for the right rear lower control arm, which i had to put on my hatch today anyway. but does it make a difference. i mean im sure it will if i was on the road course. just checking to see if its worth picking up? i have a 92 dx hatch with a jdm d15b vtec with a 00 si strut bar lowered on ground control coil overs with kyb's. also would the front sway be worth getting also?

IMO I would pick them up if they are'nt that much. The only bad thing I noticed by installing my 95 integra sway bar on my 92cx is that it's back end happy now.

This means the car has more oversteer, which is what you want on a honda.

Yes the back end likes to come out alot easier under hard driving. I don't see why you would want oversteer on a honda. I'm gonna sell my swaybar b/c I hate the back coming out.

it's only fast for people that understand the dynamics of driving like that.

otherwise they tend to hit poles and trees and other cars.

that said, a 14mm isn't ****, put it on.

22mm and beyond is when the rear end starts coming around... but seriously, you have to be driving like a total ******** to have the rear end come around on the STREET. i can take your typical 90 degree corner, staying in my lane, with no tire squeal, at around >30mph and be totally in control, i don't know wtf you are doing to get the back end loose with a 14mm swaybar.

I'm just having some fun thats all. I don't have any front sway bar or any front and rear upper strut bars so it's not real balanced out. Once I swap over to a complete itr suspension it should be fine.

so realisticaly is it worth getting. the yard is probably going to charge me like 60 bucks for it and all the hardware. is it worth that. i plan on trying to get into auto-xing and keep racing at the strip. thats not going to do anything for me at thr strip is it?

i think its worth getting. if you like turning, you'll notice a pretty huge difference in handling. its not going to do anything for drag racing except weigh you down, but it doesn't weight much anyway.

it'd be especially good to get a smaller rear sway bar if your spring rates arent all that high, you don't want to stress your subframe too much.

btw i'm running the gsr rear sway with no front, and its not oversteering at all..

Yeah I'm not saying they are a bad thing. I would pick them up if you can get a deal.
