How Many Track Events?
Wow... that's a toughy without my list (it's at work).
I believe that this year I've probably spent (including the 3 left to go) 14 weekends at the track (roadcourse, if you count auto-x and drag it's many more), some of those 3 day weekends. I'd say 28-30 days this year?
Was that the question?

I think I did 10 full weekends last year. This year, due to the purchase of a house and a constantly busted track car, I'm at 5 or 6 (I've actually lost count). My ideal is one a month.
4 this year, 7 last year, and 2 the year before. I think 6-8 a year is a good balance. Basically one every 2 months. I had hoped to do 6 this year, but money wise it didn't work out.
It is much easier to do a bunch of events when all you have to pay for is entry fee, hotel, food, and gas -- aka use your street car. Once you have a dedicated race car, the cost just goes out of control. Tires, brakes, go fast parts, maintanence, etc, etc, etc.

I think I am at 12 this year with two more to come. The goal I set last year was one per month. I missed out on Roebling in late summer and picked up three that I didn't expect to so . . .
I really hoped to do several auto-xes this year and have missed out on every one either b/c it corresponded with a DE or one time mechanical issues. Please guys and gals, send me a heads up whenever you hear of one anywhere within a couple of hours of Charlotte. I really want to add to the toolset.

For total car-related activities, probably average 20-25 weekends a year. 8-10 are track. The rest are autocross.

I pretty much have something going on every weekend from the Spring 'til now, and yes, I do travel. Farthest this year was from Seattle to San Diego and back. Then, there was Divisionals in Idaho, and a few other misc. events in eastern Washington (3-5 hours one way).
There's lots of opportunities to race if you're willing to travel. My last competition Solo2 will be on the 11th, and I'm doing a HPDE this Saturday at Bremerton Raceway. That'll just about put a wrap on my season. Then, the indoor go-kart season begins

No track events - but hopefully one in December.
I've done 25 autocrosses this year: 14 at Harrisburg, 2 with the Corvette Club, and 9 with the Philly and Southern NJ region
