My advice would be to get a used one.
The market is different now than it was even a year ago. I bought my '02 for MSRP and that was an average deal.
I would not pay MSRP now. Especially for the '04.

Yeah, you're getting ripped off if you pay MSRP. I see most people getting their S2k between 30k - 32K.

certified from honda, extended warranty with only 25,xxx miles.
got the color combo i wanted also. white with all red int.

haha. i bought this car from Ohio and i live in Louisiana.
found it on autotrader. did a search for only certified cars and came up with a bunch. saw the white one i was looking for and the price was right.
did all the dealing over the phone and had the car shipped to me the following week.

I challenge you to find a car that holds its value "well."
Relatively speaking, the S2000 holds its value well and it's been recognized as such by the appropriate automobile market authorities.

They can! They can be better too (well..I don't know if you'll find a dealer with that price..). I've seen super clean S2ks go for around 22k with 15k miles.

$ 48.500 that is including $6000 inscription tax, I'm living in Europe it seems to be a little bit more expensive over here.
By the way, just went to the dealer to get a new MAP sensor because I think mine acts silly sometimes, they did not have it in stock but I could order one for only $380, I told him to forget about it.
Can anyone tell me what they (map sensor) cost about in the US.

I suggest you buy used as well. There are plenty of good deals out there for S2K's. And something that was brought up earlier...only 8K redline in the 04's, stick with 02 and up.
I bought a Spa 01 w/ 17K miles, couldn't pass it up : $22K TT&L from a local Ford dealer. I suggested an 02 and up because with the 02 you get a GLASS rear window. You get other things like the half leather shift ****, tweeters, accent rings around the taillights, and also door nets (like pockets, but nets).
