RSX/DC5-Integra steering wheels are a direct bolt-in for '96-00 Civics.

However, if you have an "EK9," you should already have a nice Momo SRS steering wheel - so why switch?

The DC5R wheel bolts into the EK with no problems. SRS plugs right in. As for the cruise, swap the wheel housing (the plastic piece in the back) with an DC5/EP3 housing onto the DC5R outer wheel. Some minor rewiring for the cruise and you're set. Doesn't seem hard.</TD></TR></TABLE>

how different is ep3 ctr wheel to dc5 ? aint gonna pay mad prices for ek9 wheel so if ep3 ctr wheel fits ek im gonna go for that

They are pretty much the same.

EP3-Si, EP3-CTR, and DC5-RSX/ITR wheels have minor differences (i.e. cruise control, leather color, stitching color, "H" emblem color), but are otherwise the same wheel.

You might be able to get an Si wheel cheaper (if you're in North America), but the CTR wheel is grey so it may match your G6 interior better. The Si wheel is black with red stitching and a black Honda emblem, and has cruise control buttons. The CTR wheel is grey with red stitching and a red Honda emblem, and does not have cruise control buttons.

 

im in u.k so lot easier for me to get the ep3 wheel. i thought it was black though. gonna ask around.

anyone know diameter of ek9 wheel ?

ive just ordered u.k ep3 ctr wheel, its just missin airbag lead and some bolts which i can jus pick up from salvage yard or dealer

 

The DC5R will bolt in to an EK without mods. Plus you get a working airbag! PLUG and PLAY

 

mu u.k ep3 ctr wheel came. its black not grey. looks trick . just gotta get someone to fit it now

Thats the only drawback, those wheels are all the same diameter as the stock one, which feels like a damn School bus wheel. Even the S2000 wheel is only ~1" less in diameter

 

It bolts directly on. there is some wiring needed to be done for the cruise control but its not hard. I did a DIY on it a while back. I have the EP3 in my EK, sweet.

 

no cruise control on type r ot vti in u.k so even easier

It makes enough difference though. IMHO the 350mm wheels are about the best size for most cars; you can still see the entire gauge cluster through them with no problem, they don't feel overly big, they're still easy to turn with a manual steering rack, and they're not so small that it feels like you're driving a kiddie car - like the 320mm and smaller wheels feel.

 

what does it usually cost for an RSX wheel??

 

well i got my ep3 ctr wheel for £150 u.k pounds which is about $270. hell of a lot cheaper than what ek9 wheels go for

 

went to salvage yard but they wouldnt let me have the screws/bolts of the blown wheels so had to buy complete wheel. no sensor though in any of the 5 ctr's i saw

anyone know if the airbag sensor from my ek will plug right into ep3 ctr wheel ? if not then ill have to get 1 from dealer.

anyone want to buy the outer wheel ? $20 or best offer + whatever shippin is to u.s

also, the ctr wheel is smaller than my oem wheel, when lookin at em seperate before they just looked the same but its about 1" smaller. ill measure exactly later
