Default MazdaRevitup

I know there has been many post made about this but how has everyone form this forum done in those events? I went to chicago last weekend and placed 13th overall and i'm only 19 and never been to a drivers school. I know I had more time in the car so I am driving to Saint Louis saturday to try and improve on my 34th national ranking. So how did everyone do?

I actually thought the 6 car was a pretty difficult car to balance but I was throughly impressed with the 3 with just eibachs and falkens.

you need to come auto-x in atlanta this weekend so I can break your car so you can't come back for rev it up.

hey ummm, bout how long is there to register for the event? i have only autocrossed once, long ago, so i think this would be a fun thing for me, and its 10 minutes from my house too. if not too much time left i could just show up and drive all the other mazda cars and meet some of you guys and hang out all day too. i have a couple friends who are signed up already

I'll be at the StL rev it up. Does anybody know if there are any fast autocrossers planning to run Stl again because they think it will be 'soft'? Last year Jason Saini came down, and someone from Texas won.

Not this year dammit!!!!

I went to the one in NY last year but I don't think I'm going to go back. Too little seat time for the price I had to pay to get there + cost. It wasn't terrible but I'm not interested in it this year.

They go to St. Louis but not Cleveland? Damn, thats harsh. Oh well, it just means I don't have the chance to get beat by the same 10 people who beat me every week, except in Mazda 3s instead of whatever we're normally running.

I placed 5th overall and 17th nationally, so you got some competition I'll be there saturday as well, with a couple other Chicago Region comrades.

Uhm, I would consider St. Louis "soft" compared to Chicago. Out of the 5 that beat me, 3 are very well known National autox champs:

Brian Priebe
Matthew Braun
Jeff Cashmore

I was happy to knock off Telehowski though

What's gonna suck is that it's gonna rain on saturday, so I'm thinking that the winner of this weekend is gonna win by luck, because they will prolly win when running against the "wet" index of the pro driver while the track is drying up.

The guy that won the whole thing nationally goes to the autox near me. Saw the 6 he brought to rookie school and it had a for sale sign on it.

I went last year as well, and I also felt the 6 was unbalanced. It was still a fun car to hack around in, but I hope the 3 is better. I'll be at the Philly one.

According to .RJ's pic from about 4:30 Sunday afternoon, I was still on the Pro class leaderboard.

I don't know about overall.

You'll see RacerMike's name (Mike Neary) and rodney's name (Chris Travis) on there too.

Did Daddio end up winning this weekend?

edit:
Karen, I think you just moved yourself into the top ladies position. So if nobody beats your 623 you're heading to leguna seca. Great job

According to .RJ and elgorey (both of whom worked the event), yes, the Alien won DC this time.
