Best Street Tires for $70 or less?
It is getting close to that time for me to get new street tires.
I am currently running Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's in 205/50/15 - the ones a step down from the Z rated ones.
They are not very grippy now and I can burn rubber with ease in a straight line although they do hold real good in corners.
They have very good rain performance which is a must in Florida.
Any suggestions and sources would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Time to go with the Z-Rated ones...
Actually that stupid, "W" rated. BUT Z on the tire.
For the $66/tire I gave... they are WELL worth it.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider the Azenis as street tires. They're streetable definately, but it's a waste of money for street use because the tread rating is so low. If you need the tires for just rolling around town, get the Kumho 712. Don't use that on the track though
NITTO NT 450's!!!
If you go up to $95 per tire, you can get better performance and (supposedly) better tread life with the Bridgestone RE730s.

The Azenis are getting som really good press these days,
they happen to be the tire I am following currently to replace my Re010's. The latest issue of GRM rates them pretty promisingly.
And in the Type R and Competition forum they are being praised by a bunch of guys that use them for daily stuff as well as weekend auto-x and track events.
For $62. a tire you are gonna be hard pressed to find something as competetive AND as economical!
Good luck, but just from my investigation I'm going with the Falken Azenis! I'll let ya know whats what when I actually have them installed.

my current tires are 205/50/15 Yokohama AVS Intermediates...the Falken Azeni's seem to be the only tire that can match what the AVSi's offered....
i just recently bought some dunlop w10's for about $75/tire at winston tire in cali. you could probably find them online for about ten dollars cheaper at discounttiresdirect.com
