Default Whats you choice of motor

I am gonna be getting a motor in about 2 weeks. I have the choice of putting a b20 or b18b in my hatch and as it gets closer I can't decide. If you were deciding between the 2 motors for a daily driver what would you guys get. If I get the ls I will be going turbo, if I get the b20 I am going vtec. Some help and advice would be so much appreciated. I can't really search I am at work and have to sneak this in, don't wanna **** off the boss

b18 is one of the best to turbo because of the strong bottom end and it is a popular swap

iF this is going to be a daily driver then i am going to recommend the b18 non turbo right off the back. I would do a C1....reliable, quick, and your have lots of fun and prob best bang for the buck. Turbo vehicles that are not turbo from the factory will just flat out give you problems if you dont know what your doing. I have had a turbo b16 and reliability wasnt the greatest, but it was damn fast. My new jdm R motor is fun, fast, reliable as hell and you can fawk with all kinds of people. Good luck with your decision though.

the b20 is cheaper and has more toqure than the b18b. and the b20 maybe alittle easier to find. but wither way you go is good.

LS turbo over a b20vtec any day of the week. Why? Boost kicks ***. Stock for stock, I would still go with the LS tranny. If you get the b20, then you also need a different tranny. Go with the boost, you will be happy you did.

Search, dear god search. These kinds of threads have been beaten to death.

Just look through the FAQ thread. There are TONS of motor comparison threads in there.
