Some dash vids of my Si W/ Skunk2 cams!
Sorry they're pretty shaky and I really could not go to crazy being that I was not on a track and I'm not all about driving crazy on public roads. Its a fun little sample of the car though and I was bored one day so here ya go!
What does suck is that I really wanted to do a 3rd gear pull for you guys because thats where the car/cams really come alive and show the biggest difference from a stock Si. I mean you can def see it in 1st and 2nd but 3rd is where its crazy! I'll try to get some later on maybe at the track or something (I'll try to record my 1320 pass when I go to the track next)
PS. Mods, admin or whoever...If this doesn't belong here I am sorry in advance and just go ahead and delete/move the thread. i didn't see a vid forum so I assume its ok here?
Before you ask...
00 Si
Skunk2 stage 1 cams
From a slow role to about 65mph (end of 2nd gear)

Second gear drop from ~50mph to ~75mph:

Nothing special ~25mph-50mph in 2nd gear:

Edit: I have a skunk2 exhaust which is pretty loud without the silencer in and with the windows down. The cams hit VTEC much harder/louder then the stock ones, but for some reason in these vids (taken with a camera) you can't hear VTEC as much as you can normally??? Oh well.

Yeah Skunk2 valve springs, retainers are stock, but the stock retainers are good for 9,000rpm. b16a2 retainers = b18c5 retainers, same part number.
Yeah it was dynoed/tuned at P1auto...Only problem is that they have a mustnag dyno so the numbers are hard to compare to a dyno jet. They tend to be lower then a dyno jet.
I'm going to get on a dyno jet just for a base line run to see where I'm at, but I'm guessing I'm at about low to mid 170's to the wheels(frin what I dynoed on the mustang dyno). I'm also going to take it down the 1320 hopefully this week, so we'll see.

Exedy Clutch/ITR Flywheel...Everything else in there is stock tranny wise.
AEM SR intake, JDM dc 4-1 header, Car sound HF cat, Skunk2 cat back exhaust.

I absolutly LOVE the setup. Actually the clutch and flywheel still remain my most favorite mod. The Si should have come stock with this setup imo. Its great for daily driving and as you can see grips hard when you need it to. Over all I am very happy with the cams too. Great for daily driving, no idle issues, and they make some nice power.
Thanks Bauley

im about to swap in ctr cams, pistions, valves, valvesprings and retainers in my 99 civic si coupe, i also just got an excedy organic clutch and an excedy lightened flywheel, i love it, the clutch has almost the same amount of play as the stock but it grabs 100 times harder, i love it and my flywheel, well i suggest to everyone to get a lightened flywheel, you have so much better response.
Your car sounds good as **** and im jealous to see that rev over 8200, but ill be in the same postion as u here in about two months, nice car
