Default k20a2 "conversion"

i have a base rsx, with the k20a3 engine, and i've been reading posts about how it differs from the k20a2. i haven't read a concrete conclusion saying that it's possible to change a couple parts on the k20a3 to make it act like a k20a2 when it comes to hitting vtec. after changing those parts, a hondata can take care of the ivtec engagement. what other information am i missing?

You pretty much have to put a a2 head a on a3. you can't convert parts really.

The water passages are different, A3 has no oil jets, oil pump is smaller, has a different pickup, and aswell as a different pan.

Most people will tell you it is cheaper to find a k20a2 swap and keep your k20a3 as well.... Some people sell k20a3 swaps for 2400 on ebay....
