88 CRX 15x7-205/50/15s will it rub? Roll fenders?
First before somebody says hit the search button, I did. Honest. I did two different searches and spent an hour reading before I decided I needed to post this. Some conflicting comments and many times you can't tell what kind of car the commentator is driving so it doesn't do me any good. When you are getting ready to drop some coinage on a set of wheels and r compounds, I sure don't want to make the wrong choice. My question is I can use a 15x7 wheel (offset? spacers? what size) and run 205/50/15s Toyo RA-1s and not rub? Or do I need to get the fenders rolled. I am sure some of it is dependent on what if any the suspension is lowered and any comments on that is appreciated too. I figure 3/4in. to an 1in. should give me some benefit and not screw up the supension from a design standpoint on camber/caster/etc.
I have dollars in my pocket but I want to spend it wisely the first time. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You can run those tires and not rub. You should run a 38 offset I believe. If I remember correct, that is what you should run. If memory serves, that is what my K1's are and I am running 205's with no prob. You may have to roll the lip though...
The real question is this. Is anyone running 225/50/15 RA1's?

We run a 15x7 +35 Volk TE37 with 225/50-15 Toyo's all around. The rears needed some massaging to clear but seem to be ok with -2.5 camber. The front wasn't too bad at all. Fenders are rolled at all 4 corners too. Ran 205's last year and didn't have any rubbing issues, so you should be ok. I plan on using 15x7 +38 wheels on this car with 205's later this year, and don't anticipate any problems.

41mm offset is stock IIRC.
I run normal Honda offset 15x7s on my CRX dailer driver lowered about 1.75 and the 195/50 15s and they don't come anywhere near touching on my non rolled fenders. I have rubbed periodically on track with a cornering heavy load a 205/55 14 tire on a 30mm offset wheel when the car was sitting pretty low but I think a the 11mm offset difference mixed with lots of extra lowering, load and cornering force made them touch.

I run Kosei K1's on my crx with 205/50/15 victoracers. They do rub a bit in the rear and I have rolled the fenders, but not much. One thing to remember is that all 205/50/15's are not the same widths. Different tire brands have different widths even though they have the same published sizing.

LOL. Just when I thought the picture was getting clearer on what to do, Mighty Mouse Tech muddied it up again. I appreciate the input. Trying to nail down my wheel offset. I need to do the research on the width of RA-1s. Use to run Victoracers on a bigger car. Want the RA-1s for the CRX due to consistency/longevity issues.

Glad I could be of some [ahem] help.
And to clarify, I have seen cars with offsets as high as 38 rub with stock rear fenders.
