Brake pedal clicks when ABS recharges
Okay, I just got my car back recently from a bodyshop and I noticed a brake problem...
When I almost come to a full and complete stop, my ABS makes that recharging "noise" while I brake. And I feel the pedal "click" and "shiver" a bit, but it only lasts for about 3-4 secs. Also, one time, the ABS light came on, but I didn't get the code. The light went off after a 5 min drive.
The accident I got into was I hit a tree at about 10 mph, after sliding up onto a curb at about 25 mph.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing that noise and feeling in the brake pedal? TIA

Yeah, mine does that "buzzing" sound, but it does it while i'm braking and it makes the pedal shake and it goes.. "click, click, click, click" rather fast... like 2 gears kinda slipping.

I get the clicking and buzzing when I brake hard and my ABS kicks in, but it shouldn't do it under light braking. And I don't think the ABS light comes on when your ABS kicks in. I think it only comes on when there is a malfunction in the system. Bleed em and see if that helps.
I've also noticed the buzz sound when I start my car and go somewhere. After I back out of my spot and go forward about 20 ft I hear it buzz for a moment as if the ABS is "on-line" or something.

I've been suggested by a friend is to first bleed the brakes. If it continues grinding while stopping... he said it's probably part of the sensor gear... to where the gear is missing a "tooth". This sounds like this maybe the problem, but first I'll try bleeding the brakes. If it's not any of these two probs, I'm gonna assume a faulty ABS sensor. Wish me luck on diagnosing the prob

Okay everyone, I found out the problem. First off, the codes needed to be checked. The codes were 12 and 41, which are bad right ABS sensor and wheel lockup, respectively. My mechanic simply installed a new ABS sensor line and VIOLA!!! Problem solved.
Just thought I'd pass on the great news. Now it's off to New Mexico for me!!! Wish me lotsa luck with a certain female! =D CHEERS!
