Default Already Searched - brake line problem

I was bleeding my brake lines and was stupid enough to let the reservoir go dry and now that I've refilled it, the line wont purge (if thats the right terminology). What I mean is no brake fluid will flow to the rear brake lines, which are the only two I have attempted to drain. Fluid drained out fine at first, but the reservoir emptied, and since being refilled no matter what I do the lines will not flow. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Have you tried leaving the bleeder open while pumping it?

Yeah guys I've tried it all.

I've pumped the pedal with the bleeder closed to build pressure, then opened the bleeder, and nothing flows.

I've opened the bleeder and pumped the pedal and nothing flows, the fluid in the reservoir stays at a constant level.

And yes, I have someone pumping the brakes while I watch the line.

you will have to bleed the master cylinder in order for it to pump fluid
