I have 2 10w6's on a 500 watt amp, and my stock GSR speakers on a 40 x 4 amp. My subs are drowning the hell out of my highs and mids. I can either buy a new amp to replace my 40 x 4, or buy some components for the front. I plan on doing both, but can only do one right now. Which do you guys think would help most?

 

more power to the front if you speakers can handle it. The componnents will help, but they won't over be loud enough, plus 40x4 isn't a hell of a lot of power. You could also turn down the gain on your sub.
