I took out my gauges to replace a few bulbs, but i ran in to a few things and I had to pull the gauges in and out a few times and I touched the back of the gas gauge. Since then, (about 2 weeks ago) my gas gauge has stayed in the same position. I fill up once a week, and its been doing good as far as gas mileage. A friend of mine said it hasn't moved up or down because I touched the back of it, since this has happened to him a few times. He also said it'll be awhile before it'll work again.


Is this true?

sounds like crap to me. were you installing overlays?

 

naw, I was putting in new dash bulbs.
