I have a 2000 Honda Civic thats VSM. I am about to order some new autocross numbers. What color looks best on VSM. Post up pics if you have any. Here is the only pic of my car I can get to work.
Easiest thing to do... match the numbers to the wheel color (unless you got silver wheels). See... I've got it easy. Orange wheel, so I matched it with orange boards w/ silver numbers on em. Real simple. Looks like you got dark wheels, I'm sure they make dark grey vinyl too.

Hmm I never thought about black, that will prolyl look good.
My wheels are bronze w/ polished lip. I thought about trying to match but i think it would be hard. How much should I look to spend on a nice size set of numbers?

Whatever you decide to do, it MUST contrast with the body color well enough for it to be easily read by timing/scoring and corner workers... And numbers must be at least 8" high.

Good call. I take it you're a VMSC regular? I've been out to Cloverleaf a few times. Surface does a number on the tires though. And that sharp dip in the main section of the lot doesn't help matters any.
But overall a good site. I can't complain though, the two times I've gone, I've taken the top spot in STS.

not related to your numbers but your car is most likely bottoming out if its that low. I was a good bit higher than that with my 00 coupe with stiff springs and bottoming out the front shocks.

That picture was when I first got them on. It was still jacked up on the other side. I have Koni/Ground Controls (custom spring rates). There pretty stiff. There would be no suspension travel at that low.
How do the 96-00 civic's do in there classes where you all autocross?

I did pretty good in my 00 regionally in STS. They are definately capable just don't see too many of them prepared.

Well, I run in STU, which would be considered STX or something of the sort nationally. My class is pretty competitive compared to others in my region, especially since I run with turbo miatas, modified Evos, and STis. Normally I end up about 5 or 6th out of 15. Never gotten 1st once, since starting over a year ago. I've also changed my suspension several times in that one year, finally settling on the latest one for 3 months.
BTW, I replied to your IM.

Not sure, if you are referring to me or not. But, I am acutally bottoming out with my latest set up. Unfortunately I went with 400lb 7" springs in the front, which seem to be way too uncomfortable for the street.

I was talking about Stylinhonda's car. Actually yours looks about what mine did. I was on 350 front springs and was just barely bottoming out. Do you trim your bumpstops at all? I trimmed mine quite a lot. On my 89 I don't have any actually. Heres what the ride height of my 00 civic used to look.

Hmm, yours looks a bit lower than mine. Of course, it is hard to tell if you have load on the passenger side or going straight. Here is another pic of mine going straight. It looks like you have quite a bit of wheel tuck in the front. What length of springs were you using?

Sorry, to get off the subject of number colors.

My AGXs are 4 way in the front and 8 way in the back. I go with 4(stiffest) in the front and around 5 or 6 in the back, while having -1.5 camber in front and -1 in back.

I had AGX's on my 94 civic and I didint really like them, and I herd a lot about how they can not handle lower than a 1.5 drop and aggressive driving. But a lot of people seem to like them on the other hand.
