so they guy at the "performance shop" doesn't remember if that is good..... or bad.

your going to have to tell me where this shop is, they already have my business.

as stated above, tan is good.... red/orange i have never heard of.

if you have any sort of helms or anything like it there should be a picture of all different condition. but i wouldnt go as far to say your motor is screwed.

Sounds to me like a form of fuel additive.

One time I used this Octane booster, forgot the name but it comes in 4 tubes in a box with a horse's picture on it.

That stuff made my plugs redish color, rusty you might say.

Best thing to do is just do a compression check to make sure everything is OK, then empty that tank with 112octane in it and then change the plugs. After that with a regular tank of gas see if it happens again.

Bishop, tell red face he should be fine, like the guy said above, I checked with a few other sources and they said that the discoloration is from the high octane fuel(112) it burns sooo much faster(HOTTER) then regular 93/94 that it oxidizes the plugs which makes them appear to be reddish/orange/tan etc. He needs to drain the 112 or burn it quickly install new plugs and run 1 tank of regular 93/94, after that redo the compression check, and he should be fine.
