well i basically want some opinions. it is going to last me for a while, so its not like an oil filter where i'm going to change it out after a couple of months. i just want opinions
.
ok so are the SS more towards the basics or flex's in terms of performance? because if they're like the basic's i'll get basics, or if they're like flex's i'll get flexs.
but also what are other brands that are in the same performance range??

I think that's because more people here use the 'fake' coilovers like gc than the 'real' one's.
I've heard lots of good things about the Tein SS, but some people say the spring rates are a little soft.

I have the KW variant 2 setup and absolutely love them. The only thing I might have changed is gotten the variant 3 instead. If I bought another civic or integra I'd definitely order another set of these. Larry

Tein Flex with the Edfc
ride is really good i would recommend it since its one of your choices you are stuck between and the edfc just makes it even more convienient to adjust plus you can set 3 presets on adjustments so you can have a preset for strrt/daily driving use, track use (1320) or auto-x/road race use......good luck

I've got the Apexi World Sport N1 Dampers for the DC2. just had to get the lca's. handling has been overall pretty good. not the STIFFEST ride but pretty stiff. get a good set of tires and strut tower bars, sways, etc, and itll do fairly good on the track.

Dont get the tein basics if you plan to do some tracking. It all depends on what your plans are, i have the SS on my car and they are good for daily and "spirited" driving. http://www.tein.com has specs on all their suspensions. I rode in a car equiped with buddy club coils (dont know what model) and that ish was extremely harsh. Zeal are very nice coils also, and very high quality. So many options lol.

don't buy the hype. read this http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/shocks.html
i don't understand why you people insist that a 'real' coilover setup will out perform a koni / gc sleeve. it makes no sense at all.
i have the ss and they suck. i finally got my car to come around good enough this weekend. front shocks need to be full soft, rear full stiff. also a comptech rear sway / tie bar set on medium, es poly bushings and azenis with pressures of 35F 29R. i can't wait to sell them.
they are good if you just want ride comfort .. but i race my car. if i wanted comfort i'd keep the stock suspension on.
so if you like an understeering semi comfortable car that requires many other corrective modifications to provide what you really should want, get those pretty green worthless teins.
but if you'd rather have a car that does what it should, maybe you should consider reputation and facts instead of internet hype; where every 14 year old kid who can type is automatically a chassis prep expert who bangs supermodels.
