Negatives of H&R Race???
Well I have H&R sports, which don't drop as low as the Race ones, and the stock shocks were done after about a month or 2. But they also had 80k miles on them. If your paying to have them put in buy new struts at teh same time.

this is becoming more a thread about H&R Sports
but since we're on the topic...
if my car only has like 60k miles on it (no suspension mods or replacements) and I put H&R sports on, how long could I drive with that until my stock shocks went bad?

well im only keeping the car till about christmas before i get a gsr which ill prolly get konis for but newayz do u guys think the shocks will b blown then?
I'm running H&R race springs w/Tokico Illuminas. The ride is very firm, but not at all bouncy or harsh. Feels like a friend's E36 M3. I have no problem clearing 99% of all speedbumps, I can fit one finger between my tire and fender in the front...two in the rear.

I would not mount the H&R Race springs on the stock shocks. They are not meant to handle the 460/350 lb rates. Go with at least a KYB AGX...preferably a Tokico Illumina or Koni Yellow strut, your choice.

i know it's about the races, but i have sports on stock shocks, and i definitely think the ride quality is much better than stock...that is until i hit a pothole or a big bump...then that sucks
I've been rollin on H&R Race for about two years now with stock front shocks and KYB GR2s in the rear and no problems yet. The ride is firm and not that bouncy. Although now I think my front shocks are giving up, going with AGXs.

Work RSZ-R's, TONS of people here sporting those, 15x7 = 10 lbs, 16x7 = 14 lbs.
My friend had Neuspeed Race on Tokico Special (blue) shocks, rode horrible. H&R Race on stocks would be even worse.

H&R race on KYB AGX's . Struts set to 3 rear 2 front for daily driving. This set up rides firm but not harsh and stiff enough for daily driving. and NO! i do not have problems driving around this low. Just don't drive like a maniac and you'll be fine
over a year and a half w/ h&r race w/ stocks and no problems whatsoever. i mob my **** too and they havent blown
. just bought some omnipower full coils though which should be even better
