Default You have never seen a Dyno Graph like this.

Here is my base pull. Stock 10:1 compression. For some reason i have a hole the size of texas in my hp curve because for some reason i get a spike of fuel and it runs really rich. Right around vtec. Tell me what you think. This is not tuned at all. The peak hp is right at 8,200rpm when the revlimiter kicks in.

Do you plan on getting some kind of fuel management? Maybe even bump your vtec engagement back...

Move VTEC up to somewhere between 5800 and 6400

need some actual tuning here. You should be able to feel that lose of power.

Get a fuel managment and clean up that midrange then play with the vtec point. Hondata is a good system very affordable. well good luck

Well ya i can totally feel the loss in power. I have AEM EMS actually but for some reason it was actually making it run even more rich. So i gotta go back in like two weeks and try and figure it out again.

Damn less than 10:1 A/F is slightly righ, look at the good side tho, you could alsmost run methanol (6:1 A/F) lol.

Get down the dyno and have the hi and low fuel maps looked at.

Damn you could fall down that hole it that hole its that big, I bet it almost feels like your car is cruising in there even at WOT!

VTEC is set way too low, probably stock GSR crossover. And its running pig rich. Do you have a GSR manifold and larger cams? If so, you need to move the VTEC point up.

This is stock gsr ecu. So stock gsr vtec crossover and skunk2 stage 2 cams with skunk2 intake manifold. The problem wasnt the vtec spot because it starts running rich before that for some reason. Just need to tweak the fuel maps hahaha and set the vtec a little later in the band.

You can see the VTEC coming in at 4400 or so. It needs to be set closer to 5600-6000 with those cams.

actually the vtec is kicking at 5,400rpm So it might be making it run rich because it still thinks i have the dual butterfly which gets activated at 4,400rpm but that doesnt seem to make sense to me

this is stcok compression on a b18c1 right?

Your gonna need major tuning especially with the sks2 cams--

it is also possible that sks2's are a little to aggressive on your stock compression

Not a huge deal, but you got it backwards....on a gsr... vtec comes in at about 4400-4700 and the dual runner comes in at 5757rpm.

The dyno looks like the engine is flooding at vtec engagement

May sound stupid.... but have you checked to see if your dual runner is stuck open or not working ?

Looking at the graph... it gets rich at about vtec engagement... then the a/f goes leaner from right around 5800 (when the runner should come in) then your torque plateaus pretty much to redline.

I figure... if you have no CELs and a good ecu... that might cause the rich condition.

The enriching of the AFR's is from the cams dropping off in breathing efficiency (think VE) until what most people describe as coming on cam at 5900rpm to 6000rpm.

Let's say that you were to leave the crossover at 4400rpm and try to tune out the torque dip. You'd correct the AFR's to within the range of 12.5:1 to 13.5:1 (depending on where you make mean or rich best torque) and then bump up the ignition advance in that part of the map. You'd pick back up some of the power, but you probably wouldn't make as much as if you stayed on the LO cam longer.

Thats some good info. Ya i have the skunk2 IM and Cams so i figure when it actyally gets tuned then vtec will be set to higher in the rpm rang and the fuel and ignition will be changed as well. I will post as soon as i get it tuned in a couple weeks.
