I found that after you wash the car, pop the rubber seal thats around the front leading edge of the mirror/door there...Then all that water stored in the seal comes running out

Aside from the serious misshifting problems some are having just little stuff.Cracking leather, leather pulling away from the hole at the headrest and some other stuff.Oh yea the paint sucks I had more chips on my hood than I could count and some of the sun roofs are rusting.
I would definately get one with some kind of warranty. I personally have had my drivers side seat bottom replaced because of cracking and both front seats fixed because of the leather being loose around the headrest.I also had the shift boot replaced because the paint was coming off the silver peice at the top and my sunroof is rusting.
Honda and some loyal customers that are willing to find out what is causing this transmission woes finally have pretty much figured it out...
the clutch master cylinder is defective to an extent....somehow or another it is not supplying enough pressure to push the clutch plates far enough apart...etc...
but i cant stir away from saying that the synchros arent so good either, if they would just put carbon steel synchros in the EP3/DC5 trannys we would be all good

The problems that I saw when working at the dealer were, tranny shifting issues and synchro problems. Cracking leather seats, noisy windows (little lube fixed that problem), power steering pump pulley needing to be adjusted to stop howling (03 cars had this fixed), sticking throttle body, loose heat shields and a few had bad front wheel bearings at 50k+ miles. Nothing really major other than the tranny issues. If you buy one, get it w/ an extended warrenty since you will probably drive it hard and have tranny issues.

OK cool. Do yall think id be better off getting the first year that they made the RSX type S just to be safe and see if the prior owner of teh vehicle got all of the things fixed? or buy brand new?
The few issues have been mentioned here, except what I think is the biggest problem.
It's Acura... they think just because they're the luxury/flagship line of a big manufacturer that they can think they have built the perfect car. If there's anything wrong with it (and you have no hookup at the dealership), then its all your fault. The warranty is almost non-existent. The customer gets no benefit of the doubt, they get told to screw off of pay up.
Don't get me wrong, I think my RSX was an awsome car to own, but being one of the first off the production line (I picked it up in july of 2001), it had some problems...
All I know, you won't ever catch me buying another Acura/Honda vehicle brand new again. I prefer to buy used with no warranty, seeing it's void 95% of the time anyways.
