LoL, I can tell you it's shorter than a Godspeed testpipe (sorry i had to)
I'll post a measurement in a few hours, but sorry don't have it ASAP.

sackdz - who gives Godspeed and will order from him anytime

Instead of starting another topic, I'll ask my question here, which is related to this topic. Hope you don't mind.

Is the length of a JDM header + cat equal to the length of a USDM header +cat?

I guess what I'm trying to find out is, are the length of JDM and USDM b-pipes the same?
Thanks guys.

If you can wait 2 1/2 hours, I'll measure it all for you when i get home and post it.

The JDM b-pipe is longer and the cat shorter - but overall length from the header flange should be identical. I have the JDM Mugen B-pipe and Spoon cat jack and it bolts right up to the Spoon 4-2-1 header.

Here you are:

These pics should give you everything you need to know

The 2 hole flange should be loose and able to slide on the testpipe.

Any q's let me know

outlet end (3 hole flange)
from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole is exactly 3"

You can always drill them out, but have them make the holes a little larger because fit won't be perfect.

question about the using a test pipe... how do you keep the secondary o2 sensor from lighting the engine check light?

Godspeed sells a testpipe with an O2 bung that has cat material in it to simulate a CC. Mine's been on for a few weeks and no CEL yet. There was a recent thread where someone is trying to sell an O2 simulator, but I can't find it. Also someone mentioned Summit Racing had an O2 simulator as well.

No, it won't hurt your performance. Just have to see the CEL on all the time, or take the bulb out. I chose not to because frankly, I'd like to know if something was ever wrong and if it was on all the time i'd never notice. the testpipe is like $125. They have had fitment issues in the past, mine was too long, but I marked it and he cut it to the correctly length quickly no questions asked.

But hey, you can get a carsound cat for $99 and define3tly won't have any problems.

http://godspeed.hack.net

No same size, but you will also need a 2.5" donut gasket which he and others sell for $25

Regarding the test pipe with a bung hole.... I have one, but without the cat material in it and it throws the CEL. I've heard that placing a resistor inline to the sensor lead to the ecu would simulate the sensor "hot" value and would "fool" the ECU from throwing the CEL. Any truth to this and if so, anyone know the resistor value to use?

I was going to do this also, but decided on the easily reversible clean install. I dont' know, the service manual should list acceptable output voltages for the O2 sensor. You could put an ohmeter on the sensor with the car warmed up and running, and see what resistance value would come close. However I've also heard that it fluctuates in a pattern, though I don't know if there is any truth to that.
