I've never been able to get a straight answer....the club I regularly race with isn't a SCCA body....

can or can you not remove the carpet?

 

No, not unless it is IT spec...

 

Unless one of the trim levels on the same SP line as your car had no carpet, no.

 

Keep in mind too that you can't mix and match IT and SP rules when applying them to your car. As nice as it would be to be able to remove your carpet AND not have a roll cage, it can't happen.
