Does this sound like an ok deal.
I found a 2000 S2000 locally in the color that I want (red w\ black int) but there are a few flaws.
1. Was in an accident with it's first owner but honda fixed it and resold it on their sale floor certified. He bought it at 3000 miles from them and has the invoice to prove it.
2. The side red lens in the tail lenses appear to be fading. The passenger side is worse than the drivers side. Is this normal?
3. 2 vertical scratches on the rear bumper right above the license plate. Down to the plastic.
4. There is a 1" scratch by the drivers side on the right near the top of the panel kinda. The metal that is exposed appears to be starting to rust.
I carfax'd it and it came up good, only flaw on the report was the accident it was in with the first owner.
Other than that it is nice, I took it for a drive last night and it was a good time. It has 28k miles and he is asking 19,800. Think I can do better?

A Honda dealership? where?
A Honda dealership? where?
not a honda dealership but a huge used car dealership, they are pretty famous around here for their prices and deals. next time i drive by, i'll check to see if its still there and get you the #
If you happen to go there to look at it, check out the mileage and condition and let me know. I'm on the jersey shore so I can drive out if its nice.

I would try other options first. The accident is a big deal. Try dealerships. My dealership had 2 S2k's for sale (used). Check it out. You never know what you will find. Look around before you settle for something you will regret. If all those things are wrong, what else could be wrong with it you don't know about.

I wouldn't even consider an S2K in the condition you mentioned above. There are many clean S2k out there. Be patient, and keep looking..
