Power steering
The power steering in my 93 Hatchback SI feels like its too responsive on the highway...like in 5th gear mostly. Does anyone think i should remove the power steering or is it a problem that anyone has faced or knows anything about?
Power steering on my '93 Civic Si is the main reason I ended up digging a trench at 105mph at Nelson Ledges on Friday
. I plan on taking it off and looping the rack as soon as I have the time. Twitchy small-wheelbase cars don't need power steering. Especially those that weigh in the 2300 pound catagory.

I agree with you Archidictus. Makes sence to me like that. But cant I just pull out the entire Power Steering System and thats it. Do I have to do anything else to the car after I pull it out? All my other friends took out their steering and its better when drivin at speed.

The theory goes that eventually a your steering rack will burn up because it was design to be used with PS fluid. Contact Padawan from this board. He had som re-route kits (took the guess work out of it) for PS equipped civics that wanted no power steering.
I plan on taking out the entire assembly for the power steering this week. I have a friend that builds some sick hondas...hes a mechanic...he said it could be some sort of bearing that could be messing this up too
