I need some advise on how to make my HB faster....
Please i need some advice, i just bought a 96 honda HB DX, with a d16y8, and i like to know what can i change to make the car faster, not really spending a lot of money (not swappin or turbo ... yet), i just bought a ACT clutch kit wit street perf disc, to get started. and my budget is 1500$ .
The car is already low, but they cut cut the springs so that's one of my projects, to buy camber kits with coil overs. it has a k&n filter but no cold air intake pipe...not even the stock plastic one. oh and a straight pipe exhaust.

Replace the flywheel with a lighter one when you do the clutch job. Get a kyb agx/ground control setup. Some decent wheels (rota's, buddy clubs, kosei) and good tires. Spend the rest at the auto-x's practicing.
Yeah, get rid of those cut springs. I agree with the guy above, go ahead and install a 9-12lb flywheel when you get the clutch done. Also, if they somehow kept the DX tranny in there instead of the EX tranny, I'd go ahead and get that taken care of as well. GL. :beer;
