Default Gonna need wheel spacers - ideas?

It's all but certain that the IT conversion is going to require some 4x100 wheel spacers. What are your favorite sources? The car will have studs (12mm) and, while I don't care about hubcentrism, I do want good quality - not those oval-holed universal pieces.

I'd even be interested in used spacers if anyone is having a garage sale.

How thick K?

I know Mr. Puckett makes some 3mm aluminum units that I run on my car. I can't remember what I paid but it wasn't grossly expensive.
Very nice pieces.

But I think they're worth the money if you're really going to use them all the time. I ran them on the ITR so that I could fit 225's up front and they are such a good fit that they're really hassle free.

I don't know yet but once we get the wheels tires mounted, I want to be able to measure twice and cut once. Err - buy once.

Any idea how thick they need to be? I had some hub centric 19mm custom spacers made for the F Prod CRX several years ago just to get the cantilever slicks away from the upright and it seems like I paid about $20-25 each. The guy has since left the company that I got them from but he had them made by a local machine shop.

In addition to H&R, Eibach is coming out with a line of wheels spacers and maybe they are already available.

Maybe this is a dumb question - why not get new wheels with the right offset? Seems like a better idea than the spacer hodge-podge.

I'm sure you have a reason why you can't do that. But if it's 4x100, offset options abound. What size and offset would be ideal?

I have some brand new H&R 5mm's that I'm not going to use anymore. One pair.

another thought, you could have a set made - http://www.emachineshop.com or a local machine shop.

I don't know for sure but I don't think Honda-hubcentric works with VW wheels? (I should have mentioned the car involved, probably.) The IT size happens to be the stock alloy size and I have 17 of them in my garage, which is a great disincentive to new wheels.

The idea of having Walt P. whiz some out of rod stock is actually already on my list of options - after his post to the guy who wanted to put different wheels on each side of his car.

Additional ideas, as always, appreciated...

i bought my spacer from a place in arizona. i will edit this thread when i get home with the site url. sorry, but i forgot the name of the shop that makes them. they are some nice pieces. unfortuneately they only do spacers in 1/2 increments though. you could always buy a larger one, and machine it down.

side note: i have 1" spacers in a 5x114.3 bolt pattern if anyone is interested.

Kirk.....I have H&R spacers that I use occasionally...they are excellent quality. I am a dealer...so if you decide on H&R I can get them at my cost.
