air fuel ratio question... need answer asap
just used my innovate wide band on my car.
i have a b16a
edelbrock intake manifold, short ram intake, 2.5 straight pipe(no cat)
aem fuel rail, fuel pressure reg.
i read 14.4 on the wide band at idle
and then i took my vacuum hose off for WOT(wide open throttle)
and i read 13.7 at WOT
i dont have a EMS so i cant tune in increments but this is a drag car so what a/f numbers shall i try to reach to maximize power????

Yeah, I can't remember the exact # for max power but I do remember that it was 12.X...My Si motor runs about 11.8-12.2 AFR WOT at redline.

but do u think on average that 12.5 a/f will post better numbers than 13.7 at WOT for my setup.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Around 12.5 at WOT is a good starting point..

Good answer!
for me. Most cars seem to do best in the 12.X range though.
