Default header o2 location question

Ok. I know the OEM location is like 6" from the exhaust port. I got a new header because my current one is no good anymore. The o2 location on the new header is right b4 the cat.

Anyone have their o2 here? Does everything work a'ok ?

what motor? The car won't work like it should if you don't have it in the same spot. You need to either convert to obd-1 or custom weld a bung in the old position and plug up the new position for it to work right.

a search might give you more detailed info on that.

I am going through a similar situation. I have a d16z6 in my 91 Civic Si, but still using the stock d16a6 ecu. I added a d16y8 header (o2 sensor right before cat) and am trying to figure if that is contributing to my lean condition and failing emissions 3 times.

Yesterday I put back in the stock d16a6 header and put in fresh plugs. Here's the link to my thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=840355

thx keep me updated. I think I might go get a bung welded in where the exhausts from 1 and 4 combine (4-2-1 header)
